In today’s demanding environment it is no longer sufficient to just provide technology for high speed data connections. Service providers are demanding intelligent, secure networks that can offer unique data services, such as managed Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Service Level Agreements (SLA) and guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS).
In response, Centillium recently introduced an end-to-end solution for Ethernet Passive Optical Networks (EPON). In addition to providing blazing high-speed connections of up to 1 GB/s, the solution incorporates secure encryption, QoS and wire speed VPN capabilities. This is consistent with the SecureDSL capabilities that have been offered in our Palladia™ ADSL CPE solutions.
