CENTILLIUM COMMUNICATIONS EXPANDS INTO CHINA WITH OPENING OF SHANGHAI OFFICE

Centillium Demonstrates Leadership and Commitment to China's Broadband Communications Market

FREMONT, Calif., November 12, 2001 - Centillium Communications, Inc. [NASDAQ: CTLM], innovator of broadband communications technology, today announces its expansion into China's broadband communications market with the opening of its Shanghai office. The opening of the Centillium Shanghai office will provide both technical and customer support at the local level to all of Centillium's customers in China.
