CENTILLIUM COMMUNICATIONS APPOINTS INDUSTRY VETERAN TO HEAD CENTILLIUM JAPAN Hideo Takahashi Joins Centillium As New President of Centillium Japan FREMONT, Calif.,
January 7, 2002 - Centillium Communications, Inc. [NASDAQ: CTLM], innovator of broadband communications technology, today announces that Hideo Takahashi has joined the company as president for Centillium Japan. Prior to joining Centillium, Mr. Takahashi spent more than 25 years at Sumitomo Electric Industries, most recently as General Manager for the broadband access business unit.
Mr. Takahashi will oversee Centillium Japan's operations, marketing, sales and strategic planning. He will be located at Centillium Japan's office in Shiba Park, Tokyo.
