(Nasdaq: CTLM), innovator of broadband communications technology, today announced a partnership with Sumitomo Electric Industries (SEI) to provide SecureDSL technology to carriers in Japan. SEI will integrate Centillium’s Palladia Router chipset technology into its MegaBit Gear series of DSL modems. This combination of products will enable carriers in Japan to offer DSL, security and home networking to consumers through a single piece of customer premises equipment (CPE).
Centillium’s Palladia SecureDSL family provides a range of products for the home networking market from entry-level bridge/router technology to DSL routers with wireless capability and security functions.
